BMD Ready Program

Build your career with the BMD Ready program, aimed at paving pathways for school-leavers to begin a rewarding career in the civil construction industry within South East Queensland.

BMD Ready is a five-week program running in South East Queensland designed for you to have a go and see if it’s right for you.

You’ll spend two weeks learning the basics of civil construction at BMD from our industry experts as well as work-life skills, before joining our project teams on site for a paid, three-week structured workplace learning experience.

Here you’ll be supported to get hands-on and see what civil construction trades actually do, as well as learn about all of the great career pathways that are available to you at BMD.

You’ll walk away from the program with an industry white card and units of competencies transferable to certificates in civil construction.

Successful completion of the program will see you considered for full-time employment with us; the first step in your career at BMD.

Hear from BMD Area Manager Brian McDonnell – who started his career at BMD as a labourer – about the BMD Ready program.
