About the role
Reporting to the Chief Estimator of the region for BMD’s Urban Division, you will contribute towards preparing estimates for minor infrastructure projects and urban development projects throughout South East Queensland. You will lead the estimates by obtaining prices and overseeing quotes from sub-contractors whilst preparing an estimate from First Principles. You will also collaborate with delivery staff to ensure that a detailed and well thought out tender is submitted to continuously win projects for BMD Urban.
Duties
- Oversee and assist in the preparation, checking or measuring of schedules or bills of quantities.
- Build an Estimate of direct costs and site overhead costs for each tender whilst overseeing and assisting in acquiring subcontractor quotations.
- Preparing a programme of works if required.
- Participate in the final tender review and prepare the final submission alongside the Proposals team.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in Estimating
- Knowledge of estimating from First Principles
- Exposure or used Expert Estimation 2014
- Any project delivery experience isn’t required but highly regarded
