BMD builds on partnership with Netball

BMD is proud to announce its partnership extension with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens.

Since 2023, BMD has powered the number one team sport for women in Victoria, with a focus on strengthening local grassroots systems and enhancing the pathways to elite level teams such as the Melbourne Vixens.

Netball Victoria CEO Andrea Pearman shared that this extension only furthers their ability to develop and engage with their netball community.

“It’s fantastic to have the support of BMD for another year, supporting netball programs across the state from grassroots through to the elite level,”

“The synergy of the two brands lies in our shared commitment to celebrating, supporting, and growing opportunities for Victorian women,” Andrea said.

As Australia’s leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business, BMD is proud of its ongoing commitment to empower and create opportunities for women in the workforce. Having the BMD Group’s values and beliefs aligned with Netball Victoria, which strives to foster greater opportunities for women in sport, is a testament to the strength of this renewed partnership.

BMD Constructions General Manager – Victoria Ivan Fratric, says the partnership extension is demonstrative of BMD’s commitment to enduring legacies and providing increased opportunities for women.

“At BMD, we genuinely believe we have the capability to make a difference in communities and this renewed partnership with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens is testament to our aligned vision and values,” Ivan said.

“BMD is passionate about leading as a champion of sustainable career pathways for women in construction, and I am particularly excited about the opportunities we have had as a result of this partnership in terms of reaching young women through a sport where these athletes are champions of leadership, empowerment and resilience.”

“We’re proud to be once again powering the Melbourne Vixens as we believe in the high-performance alignment between sport and the teams we have in our business, who are achieving excellence across construction, engineering, and urban development.”
